Full description

19 February 1988. NAU air photography.
2 possible moats, one very small, no more than a house platform, could be drainage.
M. Flitcroft (NLA) May 1993.

Marked as 'Little Meadow' on (S1). No moat shown.
Copy in file for NHER 5044.

Rectangular earthwork noted on 1946 air photographs.
Initially considered to be a moated site, although (S1) shows this to be a 'wash pit'. A number of other examples have been noted in Breckland and the name is a common one on tithe maps. Presumably these were features for either hemp retting or sheep washing.
K. Sussams (SAU) 6 December 1995.
