Summary
Metal detecting in 1992, 1993 and 1998 recovered a small number of medieval and post medieval objects, as well as an almost complete Late Saxon copper alloy stirrup strap mount in the form of a human figure with outstretched arms.

Full description
1992.
13th century buckle. Moulded barrel shaped pin-rest, with ribbed sheet roller in centre. Rectangular buckle plate, five rivets (only three remain). Border of double stamped triangles.

Site extended.
Late Saxon almost complete copper alloy stirrup strap mount in the form of a human figure (top half missing) with outstretched arms. Limbs intertwined with foliage/serpents. Two fixing holes on either side of the figure and two on the base. Projecting flange on reverse of base. (S1)
