Summary
This is the site of Holy Cross Church, which stands inside the Stanford Training Area and is owned by the Ministry of Defence. Today no remains are visible, though the foundation walls can be seen covered in earth and grass. The chancel and tower were in ruins by 1738, and the village appears to have been depopulated at the end of the 16th century.

Full description
Holy Cross Church.
The remains were before the last war still extant as part of a farm building, but now all that remains on the site are
mounds of earth and an amorphous fragment of flint wall.
Visited E. Rose (NAU), 9 December 1975.
Incredibly, although this site was suggested for scheduling by R. R. Clarke (NCM) when still a building, it was not scheduled until 1979 long after demolition!
E. Rose (NAU).
(S2) describes church as having a nave, ruined west tower, and foundations only of the chancel.
