Summary

Metal-detecting between 1990 and 2012 has recovered a number of objects dated from the Roman to post-medieval periods, as well as several prehistoric flints. These finds include Roman and post-medieval coins; Roman, medieval and post-medieval pottery; a Roman harness fitting and a military openwork harness mount; an Early Saxon annular brooch; a stack of Late Saxon fused pennies; a medieval copper alloy seal matrix and shearboard hook with ornamental moulding in the centre; medieval/post-medieval cooking vessel fragments, a thimble and padlock case and post-medieval crotal and clapper bells.

Medieval harness boss, central boss, two or three studs survive in flange with cross-hatching on surfaces. Iron on reverse.

Medieval stud with discoidal head.
Medieval belt hook (hook missing) half-round barrel-shaped plate decoration with cross-hatching, once inlaid with niello.
Medieval buckle or brooch.
