Summary

Fieldwalking in 1978 recovered some Roman and medieval pottery sherds on the line of the Old Croft River. From 2005 to 2011, metal-detecting in this area has also recovered a small number of Roman to Early Saxon metal objects including a Roman coin, an Early Saxon bow brooch and an Early Saxon cruciform brooch fragment, as well as a number of medieval objects and coins, a post-medieval button, finger ring and buckle.

February 1978. Fenland fieldwalking, as part of Cambridgeshire Fenland Survey (land transferred to Norfolk 1990) but never entered on Cambridgeshire SMR. [1]
