Summary

Metal detecting here in 1990 and 2003 recovered a selection of metal objects dating from the Roman to post medieval period. Finds of note included a 17th century silver Dutch head-dress pin, a Roman ring made from a cut-down armlet, a gilded medieval horse harness pendant, part of an Early Saxon girdle hanger and a post medieval cloth seal decorated with a rose and radiating rays.

Full description

August 1990. Metal detecting.
Hammered silver coins, medieval, not seen.
Silver Dutch head-dress pin, first quarter of 17th century, compare with NHER 23419 (NCM accession number 50.989).
