Summary

Metal detecting has revealed the site of a possible Roman settlement, a Middle to Late Saxon settlement, port and market and a medieval settlement. This site is located within the northern part of NHER 25962. Finds recorded from this site include over thirty Roman coins (from 1st century AD to 4th century AD), a Roman ring, a possible Roman strap fitting and a medieval harness fitting.
