Summary

A site visit in 1996 confirmed the presence of the north and east ditches of a possible moat, just discernable amidst dense undergrowth and situated in mature woodland. They were perhaps 10m wide and 5m deep at the northeast corner.

Possible moat. Ordnance Survey (S1) say landscape feature.

5 July 1996. Visit.
North and east ditches as on (S2) just discernable amidst dense undergrowth and in mature woodland. Perhaps 10m wide and 5m deep at north-east corner. Looks a likely candidate for a moat.
