Name:Prehistoric flint scatter on Pentney Island, field immediately east of priory

Summary

Fenland fieldwalking in October 1986 on Pentney island immediately east of the priory uncovered a scatter of odd flints, while a systematic metal-detecting survey in 2016 recovered no recordable finds, other than undatable lead sheet fragments.

Full description

22 October 1986. Fenland fieldwalking at location PEN AB on (S1). Site was in field of weathered soil with young cereal crops growing.
Odd flints were scattered over field on sandy gravel soil. NCM ex [1].
