In 1986 a fantastic example of a 2nd century Roman disc brooch was recovered from here. It was decorated with orange and red enamel as well as blue, turquoise and white millefiori.

17 August 1986. On edge of sugarbeet field below Cobbs Hills.
Superb bronze disc brooch 2nd century AD, orange and red enamel and blue, turquoise and white millefiori.
