April 1955. Listed, Grade II.
Listing Description:
Vine Cottage, Knapton Road.
Late 16th century. Flint, brick, thatch. Two storeys. Door and windows all 20th century but under hoodmoulds. Three upper windows all 20th century but adjacent square 16th century staircase light. Kneelers of reused ashlar stone to gables. Internal gable stacks, three square plinths carrying bell based octagonal flues and renewed caps. Two horizontal rear windows (blocked) on first floor, others 20th century, except one square 16th century window each floor. North gable with two blocked circular windows, south gable one blocked circular window. Flint forecourt walls.
