Present building dates from about 1940, rebuilt after fire.
Information from R.J. Silvester (NAU).

Age of previous building and site not known, though mentioned in (S1) with no details, and shown on (S2) in a more formal park than on 1950 Ordnance Survey map of 1838 1 inch 1st edition, same as (S2).
