Summary

Fieldwalking in 1985 and 1986 recovered Roman and medieval pottery fragments. Metal detecting in 1999 and 2011 recovered part of an Early Bronze Age copper alloy axehead, a medieval harness mount, harness pendant and annular brooch and a medieval/post-medieval sword scabbard chape.

Full description

Late 1985. Fieldwalking.
One Roman coarseware.
Twelve medieval unglazed.
Ten glazed Grimston.
Identified by A. Rogerson (NAU), 7 February 1986.

1986 Fieldwalking.
One mortarium sherd.
Three sherds Roman greyware.

1999 (probably December). Metal detecting.
Somewhere in middle of field. Found by unnamed detectorist. Information from [1].
Cutting end of Early Bronze Age flanged flat axehead of Needham's class 5f, very similar to example from Plymstock (with mid rib, chamfered blade edge, and expanded blade wings). Weight 1178g, (S1).
