Summary

Metal-detecting between 1985 and 2015 recovered medieval and post-medieval coins, including a post-medieval coin hoard as well as Middle/Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Middle/Late Saxon strap-end; an 8th or 9th century copper alloy pinhead; medieval mounts, a strap-end and lead ingot and a post-medieval coin weight, trade weight and lock plate with a sliding bolt.

The hoard of 11 post-medieval coins found up to September 2009 was reported as potential Treasure (Treasure case 2010 T161) and subsequently acquired by Norfolk Museums Service (NWHCM : 2012.172). See newspaper article (S2).

The mapped extent of this record has been corrected to bring its northern edge into line with the nearest field boundary [5]. There is no evidence any of the above finds were recovered beyond this boundary.
