Record Details

NHER Number:21382
Type of record:Monument
Name:Medieval settlement, north of Kenwick Hall Farm

Summary

Fieldwalking and an earthwork survey here during 1985-90 recorded the presence of a number of enclosures, hollow ways and toft boundaries. Additionally, an aerial photograph taken in 1989 showed the edge of a moat at this location. Therefore it seems likely these remains relate to a medieval settlement, with its associate tracks and field system. The site has been managed since 1999 and currently survives under good grass cover.
