Two Neolithic flint polished axeheads were found in the 1940s. A prehistoric flint flake was found during fieldwalking in the 1980s.

Full description

1937 to 1940s. Surface find on 'Claxton's Close'.
Two elegant thin butted, part polished flint axes.
See sketches (S1).
Identified by J. J. Wymer (NAU) 25 February 1985.

Site visited by J. J. Wymer (NAU) 6th March 1985.
Sandy, gravelly field with winter wheat and good conditions for fieldwalking.
Only one flake found in 20 minutes of searching.
