Summary

Between the house and the large lake behind it, the architect Louden built a cast iron bridge with intersecting circles and lion masks. The bridge has a cattle gate and crosses over a ha ha, and dates to 1819.

Listing Description:
Cattle gate and bridge over ha-ha 40m north- east of Stradsett Hall
Cattle gate and bridge. 1819. Cast iron. Pair of supporting arches with central lions' head mask and interlacing circles carry ribbed bridge plate, rising to centre and splayed at ends. Ramped handrails upon square section verticals curve outwards to newels with ball finials. Pair of central hinged gates of heavier section with urn finials.
