Full description
March 1984. Metal detecting.
Two brooch fragments were recovered from the ploughsoil in the corner between the A1067 and the lane down to the house. One brooch is a Colchester type, dated to the mid first century AD, while the other is a rear-hook Colchester derivative dated to the mid to late first century.

January 1988. Metal detecting.
Two Roman coins were found in the same area as the brooches recovered in 1984. One is a sestertius of Antoninus Pius (reverse illegible) while the other is Gratian, GLORIA NOVI SAECULI AD 367-75.
