Summary

Metal detecting here in 1983 recovered a Middle Saxon caterpillar brooch and a bronze, flat-backed, zoomorphic object weight or fitting. This unusual object was felt to be medieval in date.

Caterpillar brooch, Middle Saxon, (S1).

Bronze flat backed zoomorphic object weight (?) or fitting 13.9g (half ounce 14.175g).
