Name:Concentration of medieval pottery sherds, brick, tile and bone fragments

Summary

Fieldwalking in 1982 by the Fenland Survey along the western edge of a major roddon. A scatter of tile, brick and bone fragments were recovered from this site, as well as a concentration of 13th to 14th century sherds. This may be a continuation of sites NHER 18543-4, but this is not certain as the road and houses are in the way.

Full description

8 November 1982. Along west edge of major roddon. Probably continuation of sites NHER 18543-4 but not certain as road and houses in way.
Scatter of tile, brick, bone. Two bricks vitrified.
Concentration of 13th-14th century sherds 20-30m east-to-west minimum 40m north-to-south. WMM 4 (S1).
