Summary

In around 1982 a flaked flint axehead of possible Mesolithic date was recovered at this location. The brown flint axehead had a slightly milky patina and was missing its blade.

Full description

1982 or before. Stray Find.
Found north-east of Holly Farm, circumstances of find unknown:
1 ?Mesolithic chipped flint axe. Fossiliferous brown flint, slightly milky patina, yellow/grey cortex. Blade missing. Potentially Mesolithic, being similar to examples from Banham (NHER 2259).
