Summary

In 1958 a Neolithic or Early Bronze Age stone axe-hammer or adze was recovered from this area, and in 1961 a rough out for a sandstone axe-hammer was recovered. It is thought that in the 1950s a fragment of a prehistoric possible saddle quern was also found.
