Name:Medieval seal matrix and Romano-British lock pin

Summary

In 1981 a medieval lead seal matrix was found during digging in the allotment here. It was circular in shape with a plain reverse and no handle. However, the seal imprint survived intact and was clearly legible. In 2009 a Romano-British lock pin was found in this location.

Medieval lead circular seal; plain reverse, no handle. SIGILLVM BONI RIDERE(?).
13th century.
