Record Details

NHER Number:16927

Name:Prehistoric flint tools, from Washpit Farm lands

Summary

During 1971-75 a collection of flint tools were recovered from the surface of fields at this farm. Some of the flint pieces found included an arrowhead, scrapers, 'agricultural implements' and a knife. It has also been speculated that a post medieval lime kiln was once located in this field, although there is no physical evidence on site to support this.
