Unusual squat sub-triangular brick structure to guard airfield.

See record form in file by source [1], who adds: Type 27/8/A pillbox (identical to NHER 12733 at Oulton) stood in allotments opposite Middletons Lane. Unusual octagonal version. Demolished for new approach road to airport. Remains moved 300m north in new earthworks. Survey No. M1-5.
