Summary

Before 1980 a late medieval limestone corbel, incomplete but consisting of two human heads, was recovered from a garden in this area. It may have originated in the chancel of the now demolished Snettisham church.

Full description

Pre 1980. In garden, Lynn Road.
Corbel, limestone; incomplete but consisting of two human heads, one tragic and one comic. 25 cm long and 11 cm high.
Identified by E. B. Green (NCM) as late medieval.
Slides in KLM (S1).
Possibly from chancel of Snettisham church, now demolished.
