Summary

Metal detecting recovered a number of objects from this area, where some soilmarks of a possible field system or trackway have also been noted. Finds from this site comprise prehistoric pot boilers, a Roman brooch, and a number of medieval and post medieval objects, including a medieval gold 'collar' with repousse decoration set with turquoises.

Gold 'collar' with repousse decoration and with five collets set with turquoises. 13mm x 16mm. 19th century. Possibly from necklace fastener or needlecase (decorated both faces). Inquest carried out on 22 March 1995.
