Summary

A Neolithic partly polished flint axehead was ploughed up in 1979. Metal-detecting between 2017 and 2018 recovered Roman, Late Saxon/medieval, medieval and medieval/post-medieval pottery sherds, annd a medieval/post-medieval roof tile; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins, a medieval jetton and post-medieval token; as well as undated, Roman, and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include undated copper alloy casting waste, a Roman brooch; medieval/post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval unidentified object; medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel fragments and a tap fragment; and a post-medieval furniture fitting and a sword belt fitting.
