Summary

Fieldwalking at this site in 1979 recorded a thin tanged flint arrowhead and forty flint flakes. All these finds date to sometime in the Neolithic period.

Full description

May 1979. Fieldwalking.
Recovered by [1] from the ground surface on the north side of Royal Hill (finder's Site 2a):
1 Neolithic long, thin, tanged flint arrowhead with bifacial pressure flaking. See drawing (S1).

40 Neolithic flint flakes, five 'chunks' and one core.

At least some of the finds collected by [1] at this site in 1979 were subsequently donated to the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1982.84.4).
