According to a map of 1769 this is the site of a lime kiln. A visit here in 1979 identified a circular depression where the kiln is buried but the area is now covered by a wood.

Site of limekiln.
Marked on (S1).

June 1979.
At north end pit a circular depression in ground shows where the kiln is buried. The site is now covered by a wood.
