Summary

A collection of prehistoric flint tools was recovered from somewhere within Ringland at an unspecified date. These finds comprised a leaf arrowhead, fragments of polished axes and an end-polished adze. The exact nature and circumstances of their discovery remain unknown.

Exact site unknown.
Leaf arrowhead, 3 part-polished axe fragments, 'rough axe', end-polished flint adze.
NCM unregistered, previosuly held by Bagnall-Oakley Collection.
Information from F. Healy (NAU) who identifies this with the knife 9.5cm (3.75in) x 4.1cm (1.6in) massive scraper 10.2cm (4in) x 7.6cm (3in), and rough axe, exhibited 8 January 1917 by Mr and Mrs Hunt (see (S1)).
