Summary

In 1968 a waster mound of bricks and tiles was found at this location. The bricks were decorated with double-headed eagles and a lion and were dated to the late 17th century. This mound provided a clear indication that a brickworks or tile works was situated here during the post medieval period.

Waster mound of brick and tile; bricks decorated with double-headed eagles and lion, late 17th century. Also King's Lynn farthing 1668 amongst them.
