Full description

1975 to 1978. Reported as coming from the surface of this site. [1] and [2].
2 Beaker sherds, 1 rusticated and 1 with deeply incised lattice decoration.
Bronze Age copper alloy spearhead tip; fragment of blade and socket of Late Bronze Age socketed knife.
Stater, Early British J; Iceni Boar-Horse coin type B; early uninscribed pattern-horn coin (latter 2, casts NCM).
Roman pottery including colour-coated ware.
Box tile fragments.
2 copper alloy dolphin brooches; copper alloy lock plate; fragment of thistle brooch, fragment military apron mount.
Early Saxon copper alloy buckle loop with zoomorphic decoration (NCM)[3]; copper alloy wrist clasp.
Early Saxon gilt-copper alloy mount in form of fish; foot of cruciform brooch (NWHCM: 1979.72.4), head of small-long brooch (NWHCM: 1979.72.5).
Glazed and unglazed medieval sherds.
Post medieval sherds, copper alloy and iron rings, lead toy soldier about 1700.
NCM accessions register adds Neolithic flints: not on original card from NCM.
