Full description

Icehouse.
Good brick 19th century in same style as hall with 2 pinnacles. Pointed entrance arch; tunnel with traces of inner and outer doors. Large oval chamber complete, but 'omphalos' in base is broken, and chamber is full of rubbish including large carved stone block.

Listing Description:
Icehouse, c.1840. Red brick entrance, earth covered mound. Entrance facing north-west; pointed brick arch flanked by two brick piers with recessed panels continuing into stone caps with pinacles, that to left partlost. Brick semi-circular headed tunnel c.3m long leading to low brick doorway with segmental head; deep circular chamber.
