Summary

In 1978 and 1980 a large number of prehistoric flint implements were found here. Tool types identified included flakes, blades and scrapers. Several sherds of post medieval pottery were also retrieved from the same site.

Full description

June 1978. Found on ploughed surface.
Nine flint flakes.
Finds held by NCM.

Grid reference corrected by W. Milligan (NCM) 1980 - further flints found in 1984.
Lead glazed earthenware and stoneware sherds.
Finds held by NCM.

Total flint assemblage; two thermal flakes, one hundred and fourteen struck flakes, thirteen blades, four scrapers, one miscellaneous retouched pieces.
