Full description

Spread of flint, brick and pantiles, Grimston sherds and two unglazed medieval sherds, on three distinct platforms remaining in undulating ploughed field.
So-called doorstep remains undisturbed.
Supposed site of one of three manors of Sparham, according to informant [1] who farms the land.

January 2002.
Field now under pasture grazed by horses. To west of church, new housing. Post rail fence has intruded slightly into field.
