Various sash windows, some in older openings. Interior of first bay of main range has some stopped ground floor beams, low ceilings and no attic. Stair turret added to rear of central bay; cast iron newel, mahognany rail, twisted pine balusters. Differing attic stair. Roof of third bay of purlins and collars. Single storey left extension has large enclosed stack and stopped beam.
(S3) in file.
E. Rose (NAU) 29 April 1987.

Basically a large brick 17th century house but little is visible of that phase.
Low service wings seem to be late 17th/early 18th century. Little remains visible of a late 18th century remodelling; the present visible structure is a Victorian 'Tudor' mansion.
