A Neolithic flint axehead was found here in 1976. Metal-detecting in 1978 and 2019 recovered Roman, medieval and post-medieval coin; and a medieval thimble.

Full description

Autumn 1976. Stray Find.
Found by [1] on conveyor of potato harvester working in area centred at [2] (Context 1):
Neolithic flint axehead, 15.2cm long by maximum width 5.2cm. Cutting edge polished but rest of axe rechipped through polish. See drawing (S1).
