Summary

It is recorded that a spread of large waste flakes, restricted to an area around 50m across, was noted on this site. The surrounding area has produced many large finished and unfinished tools including polished and unpolished axes, and it is thought that this are may be a Neolithic axe factory site.

Full description

Spread of large waste flakes restricted in area around 50m across. Surrounding area has produced many large finished and unfinished tools including polished and unpolished axes. Suggested axe factory site. Flint occurs in the underlying chalk strata though these are masked by drift. [2]
Nearest outcrop around 2km northeast.
Tools remain in finders possession, flakes are in NCM. [1]
