Summary
A report by the Norfolk Archaeological Rescue Group in 1975 identified that this cottage is a timber framed wattle and daub building of uncertain date, twice extended, and recased in the 19th century. It was once used as a dairy by the Thelveton Estate, and has now been restored as a house. Some of the beams inside are reused from an earlier building, but the timber framing seems late enough to date to the 18th century. A post medieval token has also been found on this site.
