Early Saxon glass beads, two brooches and a pin that were found in the spoil from a trench in 1976. Human remains were also reported with the finds.

Full description

1976. Dug from side of pipe trench.
Copper alloy annular brooch, decorated with lines and crosses, (S1).
Copper alloy pin with flat circular head, (S2).
2 blue glass beads, 5 red, yellow and green glass paste beads and flat amber bead, (S3).
Apparently all found together, but information on this not reliable.
Foot of copper alloy cruciform found in spoil from trench, also human bones (but this latter not seen), (S4).

(S4) in file shows that the foot of cruciform is the same object as [1] claimed in 1977 to have found at site NHER 5053 - information from [2].
