The Historic Environment Service is currently working on an English Heritage-funded project to enhance Norfolk’s early prehistoric records. The county has a rich Palaeolithic and Mesolithic archaeological resource which has long been the subject of study. Alongside enhanced text for sites and finds, the project will integrate new photographic and illustrative material along with antiquarian and archive material from museums and private researchers.

The new enhanced data and associated material will be released in stages via the Heritage Explorer website. Alongside this, a programme of community outreach is underway.
